◼️In order to enhance digital transformation and develop research and educational skills, the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University launches a series of training workshops in artificial intelligence applications.
⭕Within the framework of Zagazig University’s direction towards keeping pace with rapid technological developments and promoting the use of artificial intelligence applications in developing the system of education, scientific research and community service, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Dirandali, President of the University, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Akmal Shawqi, Dean of the College of Specific Education, the college intends to organize a series of specialized training workshops in artificial intelligence applications, targeting faculty members, postgraduate researchers and college students, through a training program that combines theoretical knowledge and practical application, which contributes to the development of digital skills. And enhancing the use of smart tools in academic and research fields.
⭕These workshops, which are prepared and presented by Professor Dr. Najla Saeed, Assistant Professor of Educational Technology at the College, are a step towards expanding awareness of the various applications of artificial intelligence, and providing the opportunity for participants to learn about its potential in developing educational and research practices and producing digital content, in a way that suits the nature of the needs of each target group.
The training program includes three main tracks: The first track targets faculty members at the college, by introducing how to employ artificial intelligence tools in teaching, scientific research, and community service, while the second track focuses on postgraduate researchers, through applications of artificial intelligence in preparing scientific research, analyzing data, and writing research papers. The third track targets students of the College of Specific Education, and deals with applications of artificial intelligence in education, educational design, and digital content production.
⭕The program activities are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 AD, with workshops directed to postgraduate researchers being completed during the second week, and workshops designated for college students during the third week, according to the announced training plan.
⭕ Professor Dr. Akmal Shawqi, Dean of the College of Specific Education, stressed that developing skills for dealing with artificial intelligence applications has become a necessity imposed by the rapid transformations in the fields of education and scientific research, pointing to the college’s keenness to keep pace with these transformations by organizing training programs that contribute to raising the efficiency of faculty members, researchers, and students, and support the conscious and effective use of modern technological tools. He added that investing in building digital capabilities represents one of the important paths to developing academic performance, stimulating innovation, and enhancing the college’s ability to efficiently perform its educational, research, and societal mission.
⭕This initiative comes in the context of the efforts of the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University to expand the horizons of training and development, and promote the culture of innovation and digital transformation among its various members, in a way that consolidates the effective use of technology in producing knowledge and developing educational and research practices, and supports the preparation of cadres capable of dealing with the requirements of the future with confidence and efficiency, in light of the renewed opportunities provided by artificial intelligence for development and creativity.
