⭕As part of the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University's commitment to enhancing its quality system, improving institutional performance, and systematically preparing to meet institutional accreditation requirements, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, University President; Professor Dr. Ehab El-Beblawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Professor Dr. Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Professor Dr. Hanan El-Nahhas, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty held its inaugural meeting on the institutional accreditation standards framework. The meeting took place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the discussion hall, with the attendance of Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky Gaballah, Dean of the Faculty, and the participation of all standards coordinators and relevant working group members.
The meeting aimed to introduce the general framework of institutional accreditation standards, discuss work mechanisms for the upcoming phase, and establish a suitable methodology for organizing and coordinating the efforts of working groups in accordance with the nature and requirements of each standard. It also provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives and discuss implementation mechanisms, paving the way for subsequent specialized meetings with members of each standard separately, based on the nature of the work and the required tasks.
For his part, Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the College, emphasized the importance of concerted efforts and teamwork in supporting the quality and accreditation process. He pointed out that the next phase requires active participation from all coordinators and working group members, and a clear commitment to responsibilities and tasks. This will contribute to building an integrated institutional system based on organized planning, collaborative work, and continuous development, thus enhancing the college's ability to meet the requirements of institutional accreditation.
In the same context, Professor Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud, the college's institutional accreditation coordinator, explained that the meeting represents a starting point for organizing work on institutional accreditation standards in the coming phase. This will be achieved through a general review of the standards and a discussion of work mechanisms that take into account the nature of each standard and the circumstances of the work teams. He emphasized that subsequent meetings will be coordinated for each standard independently, allowing for a more specific discussion of its requirements and the organization of efforts and distribution of tasks according to work needs.
This meeting reaffirms the commitment of the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University to continuously develop its institutional performance and establish a culture of quality as an ongoing practice and shared responsibility. This will support its readiness for institutional accreditation and enhance its ability to achieve its academic and administrative goals according to a clear methodology based on cooperation, integration, and continuous improvement.
