Under the auspices and guidance of His Excellency Professor Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University, His Excellency Professor Ehab El-Beblawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and His Excellency Professor Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and in line with the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University's commitment to upholding academic values and promoting discipline within the university community, the Faculty's Disciplinary Board issued a series of deterrent decisions against students who violated regulations during the first semester (Fall session) of the 2025-2026 academic year.
The announced violations included cheating on exams using both traditional and modern methods, in addition to cases of fights, misconduct, and other disturbances on campus. These violations were dealt with according to their nature and severity to ensure fairness and transparency.
The penalties varied and included:
1. Permanent expulsion of a student from the university, with notification of the decision to other universities.
2. Suspension of a student for the entire 2025-2026 academic year. 3. Students will be expelled from the first semester of the Fall 2025-2026 academic year.
4. Students will be barred from taking the course in which they cheated and subsequent courses, amounting to approximately five courses.
5. Some students will receive a warning.
6. Other students will be referred to the relevant disciplinary boards to complete the legal procedures.
⭕ In his comments on the decisions, Professor Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, affirmed that the faculty will not tolerate any breach of discipline and is committed to protecting the educational process and ensuring a safe and stimulating academic environment. He emphasized that adherence to university values and traditions is the cornerstone of student success and achieving academic excellence.
⭕ For his part, Professor Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, indicated that these measures are part of strengthening the principle of accountability and achieving fairness among students. He affirmed that the faculty will continue to monitor compliance with regulations and instructions to ensure a mature and safe learning environment. ⭕The Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University affirms that these decisions aim to consolidate discipline and positive behaviors among students, with its continued commitment to developing the educational process and protecting the values of the academic community, in order to ensure the preparation of a distinguished generation that is responsible and fully aware of its duties.
