◼️The Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University is organizing a training workshop on the use of artificial intelligence tools in education and scientific research.
In line with Zagazig University's commitment to keeping pace with rapid digital transformations and enhancing the use of modern technologies in developing the university education system and raising the level of scientific research, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of the University, Professor Dr. Ehab El-Beblawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Professor Dr. Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Hanan El-Nahhas, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, the Faculty of Specific Education organized a training workshop entitled "Artificial Intelligence in Education and Scientific Research: Employing Artificial Intelligence Tools in Education and Scientific Research." The workshop was held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM in Lecture Hall C of the Home Economics Building, reflecting the university's interest in promoting awareness of modern artificial intelligence applications and expanding their use in academic and research fields.
The workshop addressed ways to employ artificial intelligence tools to support educational practices, develop methods for preparing educational content, and facilitate research, information gathering, and analysis processes, thereby contributing to raising the efficiency of academic and research performance. This opens new horizons for faculty members, researchers, and students to benefit from rapid technological advancements, while emphasizing the importance of adhering to the guidelines for responsible use of modern technologies and maintaining academic integrity.
In this context, Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, affirmed that keeping pace with the rapid developments in artificial intelligence has become essential for developing the university education and scientific research system. He pointed to the importance of providing training and qualification opportunities in the use of modern digital tools, which contributes to developing the capabilities of faculty members, researchers, and students, supports innovation, and enhances the quality of educational and research outputs.
He explained that the faculty is keen to organize scientific and training events that contribute to building technological awareness and support the application of knowledge and modern technologies in developing academic performance, in line with the university's direction towards excellence and digital transformation.
For her part, Professor Dr. Naglaa Saeed Mohamed, Assistant Professor of Educational Technology at the Faculty of Specific Education, and the workshop's organizer and presenter, explained that the workshop aimed to introduce the most prominent artificial intelligence tools and their applications in the fields of education and scientific research, and to highlight their importance. The workshop explored mechanisms for utilizing these technologies to support the educational process and facilitate research tasks, thereby enhancing participants' skills and enabling them to make conscious and effective use of these technologies in their work and studies.
