◼️The Board of Directors for New Programs at the Faculty of Specific Education, Zagazig University, Discusses Preparations for the 2026/2027 Academic Year
⭕Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University, and Professor Dr. Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Board of Directors for the new fee-based programs at the Faculty of Specific Education, Zagazig University, held its September meeting on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. This meeting was part of the early preparations for the start of the 2026/2027 academic year and focused on ensuring the readiness of the new programs at the academic, organizational, and educational levels, guaranteeing the smooth commencement of studies and the integration of all elements of the educational process.
⭕The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky Gaballah, Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Board of Directors for New Programs, and attended by Professor Dr. Ehab Atef Ezzat, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. The Board addressed several topics related to study plans, faculty appointments, academic committees, advising, and follow-up, in addition to finalizing the necessary organizational structures for the new programs during the upcoming academic year.
The council discussed and approved the study plans and schedules for the new fee-based programs for the first semester (Fall Session) of the 2026/2027 academic year. This aims to streamline the educational process and define students' academic paths from the beginning of the year.
The council also addressed the issue of faculty appointments for the first semester, ensuring the availability of teaching staff for the programs and guaranteeing the necessary academic personnel to implement the study plans.
The agenda further included discussions on forming internal transfer committees within the academic departments for the first semester. This ensures that transfer applications are processed according to established frameworks and regulations, and that the coursework and credit hours of transferring students are accurately reviewed.
The council also discussed forming committees to monitor the educational process for the new fee-based programs for the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year. This will support ongoing monitoring of the regularity of studies and identify any observations or needs requiring intervention and development. The council also reviewed the daily follow-up reports of the practical examination committees for the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, according to the attached template. This review was conducted to monitor performance during the examination process and to utilize the results in developing work mechanisms for future phases.
The meeting also addressed several organizational structures for the new programs for the 2026/2027 academic year. These included the formation of the Field Training Office, Academic Advising Coordinators, and E-Learning Coordinators, as well as the development of the educational platform and interactive textbook. This aims to support the integration of academic, practical, and electronic aspects within the new program system.
Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky Gaballah, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New Programs, emphasized that preparing for the new academic year requires working according to a well-organized plan that begins before the start of classes. He pointed out the importance of finalizing plans, schedules, and academic and organizational structures within the specified timeframes to ensure the readiness of the new programs to receive students and the smooth running of the educational process from day one.
The Dean of the College emphasized that the college administration places great importance on the new programs as a key component of academic development. He stressed the importance of collaboration between academic departments, program coordinators, and all relevant educational, advising, training, and e-learning entities to ensure the best possible benefit for students.
For his part, Professor Dr. Ehab Atef Ezzat, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, affirmed the importance of ongoing coordination among all parties involved in the new programs, particularly regarding class schedules, assignments, academic advising, and monitoring the educational process. This coordination ensures clear procedures and prompt responses to students' needs.
He noted that finalizing the formation of the monitoring committees and the academic advising, e-learning, and field training systems represents a significant step towards providing a comprehensive educational system based on continuous monitoring, development, and improvement of the quality of educational services offered to students.
The meeting of the New Programs Board reflects the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University's commitment to early and organized preparation for the new academic year. This includes completing all academic and organizational arrangements, strengthening monitoring, advising, and training mechanisms, and utilizing e-learning tools and educational platforms to support the educational process.
