The Faculty of Specific Education Council at Zagazig University held its 200th session, honoring distinguished faculty members and continuing its development and quality initiatives in preparation for the new academic year.
Under the auspices of Professor Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University; Professor Ehab El-Beblawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Professor Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Professor Hanan El-Nahhas, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Specific Education Council at Zagazig University held its 200th session on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. The session was chaired by Professor Akmal Shawky Gaballah, Dean of the Faculty and Head of the Council, and attended by council members. The meeting focused on reviewing various academic, administrative, and research matters, and continuing efforts to develop and enhance institutional performance in preparation for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The meeting was held at a time when the college's efforts to develop the educational system, support postgraduate studies and scientific research, enhance new programs, and create a more efficient and higher-quality university environment are being integrated.
The council began its session with a gesture reflecting the college administration's appreciation for outstanding efforts. The council honored Professor Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam for her work in beautifying the college council hall in accordance with the visual identity of Zagazig University. This reflects attention to aesthetic and organizational details, maintaining the college's institutional image and its consistency with the university's visual identity.
The session also included honoring Engineer Ahmed Gaballah for his exceptional efforts in maintaining and upgrading the college's facilities. These efforts have contributed to ensuring the readiness of the facilities and infrastructure to meet the needs of the educational process and prepare for the new academic year. The council's work included reviewing several files related to new programs, most notably preparations for the first semester of the Fall 2026/2027 academic year. These included matters related to study plans and schedules, secondments, credit transfer and equivalency committees, and committees monitoring the educational process. The council also addressed the organization of files related to field training, academic advising, e-learning, the educational platform, and interactive textbooks.
These files reflect the college's commitment to building a more integrated educational system that combines academic organization, student support, practical training, and the use of digital learning tools, in line with the requirements of continuous development in higher education.
The council also discussed several topics related to general programs and practical examinations, supporting the smooth operation of the educational process and enhancing the readiness of the various departments and programs for the new academic year. The Graduate Studies and Research sector received significant attention within the Council's work, addressing several issues related to regulations and study programs, the formation of scientific committees and examination, discussion, and evaluation committees, academic advising, transfers, and credit transfers, as well as matters concerning researcher registration, extension of registration periods, and the awarding of degrees.
The agenda also included various topics related to master's and doctoral theses in the college's different disciplines, reflecting the ongoing scientific and research activity and the college's commitment to organizing the academic path for researchers according to established frameworks and regulations.
The topics also included reviewing the theoretical and applied course plans for graduate studies, assigning faculty members to teach in various programs, and several formations related to examinations and scientific committees.
The graduate studies topics included in the Council's work reveal a clear diversity in the research fields addressed by the college, including educational technology and artificial intelligence, e-learning, special education, nutrition and food science, educational and psychological sciences, art education, and other specialized disciplines.

⭕As part of the college's focus on innovation and entrepreneurship, the council's agenda included highlighting the efforts of the Innovation Center, along with presentations on projects and participation in initiatives and competitions. ⭕The topics presented also included projects that qualified for national competitions, such as the Can Art Egypt project. This reflects the increasing presence of college students in the fields of innovation and creative projects, and their benefit from the institutional support provided by the college and its specialized centers.
⭕Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky Gaballah, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education and Chairman of the College Council, affirmed that holding the two hundredth session represents a significant milestone in the college's institutional work, emphasizing the achievements of The college's development is the result of the integrated efforts of faculty members, teaching assistants, administrative staff, and all employees, working within a framework of responsibility, belonging, and teamwork.
