This warning comes as part of the faculty administration's commitment to the safety and well-being of its students, safeguarding their future, and protecting the faculty's name and reputation. It also stems from the faculty's responsibility to educate students and their parents about the risks associated with participating in unofficial events that are not subject to institutional supervision or regulation.
The college administration confirmed that this warning also comes in light of observed irresponsible practices in previous years related to unofficial events, and the problems that arose from them. These included students being late or absent from their homes for extended periods without their parents' knowledge, and the false claim that these events were organized by the college. Furthermore, problems occurred when students used transportation without official coordination or supervision, and the college administration received complaints from several parents regarding these incidents.
Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky Gaballah, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University, emphasized that the college administration prioritizes the safety and well-being of its students. He stressed that the college will not allow its name, logo, page, or the name of any of its officials to be used to promote any unauthorized activity, trip, or gathering.
The college is committed to providing a safe and disciplined university environment, offering student, cultural, artistic, athletic, social, and recreational activities within a clear institutional framework and under the supervision of relevant college and university authorities. This ensures the achievement of student activity goals while simultaneously safeguarding student safety and rights.
The college dean emphasized that any event or activity attributed to the college must be announced through official channels and comply with all necessary approvals and procedures. He urged students not to be misled by unofficial announcements or invitations and not to pay any money to individuals or entities claiming to organize events in the college's name without official authorization.
The college administration stresses several important guidelines:
First: The college bears absolutely no responsibility for the organization, security, or outcomes of any parties, trips, gatherings, or events held outside the university premises without written and official approval from the college administration and relevant authorities. Such events are not, under any circumstances, considered college activities.
Second: It is prohibited to exploit the name of the Faculty of Specific Education or Zagazig University to organize any unofficial gatherings, trips, or events, or to collect money from students under any pretext. In the event of a proven violation, the prescribed legal and disciplinary measures will be taken in accordance with the regulations and laws governing such activities.
Third: The Faculty urges its students to verify the source of any announcement or invitation to participate in an activity, trip, or event, and to refrain from dealing with any entity or individual except through official and approved channels.
Fourth: The Faculty administration calls upon parents to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of any event in which their children are invited to participate under the name of the Faculty, and to ensure that the announcement is issued through the official channels of the Faculty and the Student Welfare Department.
