◼️The Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University is now accepting applications for tuition fee support for financially struggling students for the 2026/2027 academic year.
⭕In its commitment to supporting students in need and promoting equal educational opportunities, and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University, the Student Welfare Department at the Faculty of Specific Education announces the opening of applications for financially struggling students wishing to benefit from tuition fee support for the 2026/2027 academic year. This initiative is in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and university social solidarity units, within the framework of the social protection and welfare system aimed at supporting students from vulnerable groups and helping them complete their education without economic circumstances hindering their academic progress.
⭕This support stems from the university and faculty's belief in the importance of providing an educational environment based on equal opportunities and social justice, and strengthening the support provided to students, especially those most in need, thus contributing to their academic and social stability. The support includes several eligible categories, according to the established regulations and conditions, as follows:
First: Students benefiting from the "Solidarity and Dignity" program, specifically those in their first, second, third, and fourth years of study.
Second: Students facing financial difficulties from vulnerable families who are not beneficiaries of the "Solidarity and Dignity" program, specifically those in their second, third, and fourth years of study. The targeted categories include:
• Orphans (fatherless).
• Students with disabilities.
• Children of families with chronic illnesses.
• Children of families of debtors.
The Youth Welfare Department invites students who meet the targeted categories to visit the department and submit their applications according to the specified procedures and deadlines. It is essential to provide all required documents and information demonstrating their social status to ensure that the support reaches those who are truly eligible, in accordance with the established regulations. Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, affirmed that student welfare and support for those in need are integral to the faculty's mission. He noted that cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and university social solidarity units reflects the state's commitment to providing support to the most vulnerable students.
He explained that the faculty places great importance on the social and humanitarian dimensions of the university system and strives to overcome any obstacles that might prevent students from attending classes or completing their education. He emphasized that economic circumstances should not deprive any deserving student of their opportunity for education and success.
He also directed the Student Welfare Department to provide the necessary support and facilitation for students during the application process, and to explain the target groups and regulations, ensuring the greatest possible fairness and transparency in accessing support programs. The Faculty of Specific Education affirms that this support is part of a comprehensive student welfare system aimed at providing a more inclusive and equitable university environment that prioritizes students and their needs, and supports their ability to continue their education and achieve their aspirations.
Education is a right, and protecting students' right to complete their education is a shared responsibility. Therefore, the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University continues its role in building a university environment that not only produces knowledge but also extends a helping hand to those in need, opening doors of hope and opportunity for its students, believing that supporting students today is a true investment in the nation's future.
